Join us as award-winning artist and musician Chad Elliott creates a plein-air painting of Reiman Gardens and performs a nature-inspired concert.
Come early to explore the 17 acres and Garden Playhouse Exhibit, watch Chad Elliott create a painting of the Gardens in real-time, and stay for the concert. All are included in the price of admission. No pre-registration is required; pay at the door. $2 off regular admission to Reiman Gardens. Free for Reiman Gardens Members and ISU Students. Free-will donations are encouraged for this artist's performance.
Schedule of events:
- 10 a.m.: Reiman Gardens opens; Chad Elliott paints plein air at a location of his choosing in the Gardens
- 1p.m.-3p.m.: Drop in Craft- Mini Canvas ($5, while supplies last)
- 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m.: Cash bar provided by ISU Catering
- 3:30 p.m.-5 p.m.: Live Concert (location in Gardens to be picked by Chad Elliott on the day of)
- 6 p.m.: Gardens Close
Songwriting Short Bio:
Midwest singer-songwriter Chad Elliott blends folk roots, swampy blues, and soulful writing to deliver unmistakably original music. His live performances have been honed over 25 years on the road performing more than 200 shows annually. Elliott is lauded as “Iowa’s Renaissance man” by Culture Buzz Magazine.
