Annual Theme, Exhibits, and Art

Daffodils and Sycamore Falls at Reiman Gardens

Annual Theme

Reiman Gardens' staff uses a new theme to inspire its horticultural displays, educational programs, events, and products in the Gift Shop each year. The theme emphasizes a new dimension of the garden so guests can visit again and again to see and learn something new in the ever-changing and exhilarating displays. We are excited to announce our theme for 2026, Big and Small. For more details on the Big and Small Exhibit summer exhibit (May 30 - September 30), click here.

Current Exhibits

Each year, our outdoor garden spaces, Hughes Conservatory, and Garden Room each feature sculptures and artwork that reflect the annual theme. Over the years, Reiman Gardens has also collected many works of art integrated throughout the grounds. Find descriptions of each piece of art and its location here.

    Current Hughes Conservatory Display

Welcome to the Big and Small world of the Orchid Forest!
    On display April 24 - July 25, 2026

This Hughes Conservatory display welcomes a woodland of wonders where orchids go big in bloom and small in seed. Boasting the world's largest flowering plant family (with over 26,000 species), orchids also produce the tiniest seeds. Inspired by forest orchidaria, this immersive design surrounds you with suspended plants, a winding stone path, and a central structure that lifts your gaze into a living orchid canopy where diverse Orchidaceae forms and pollination strategies come to life--and where epiphytic orchids perched overhead remind us that even the smallest travelers can reach the highest branches.
