This is a special year at Reiman Gardens as we celebrate 30 years of inspiring awe and cultivating beauty at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa! This milestone anniversary invites visitors to celebrate with party-themed garden displays and a year filled with signature events and educational programs that showcase the Gardens’ vibrant landscapes, creative exhibits, and community spirit.
Our 2025 theme is "Picture Perfect: Celebrating 30 Years of Beauty at Reiman Gardens."
This summer's exhibit will feature enchanting Instagrammable scenes that honor our past, showcase our present, and inspire our future. Orchid Festival
Spring (February, March, April, May)
OrchidFest, February 8-9, kicks off the yearlong celebration, featuring a dazzling display of exotic blooms available for purchase in the Garden Room. New in 2025 and accompanying OrchidFest, Reiman Gardens will feature a Sip and Savor event on February 8, offering guests an afternoon filled with curated chocolate indulgences and carefully crafted mocktail pairings.
The first blooms of spring bring the crowd favorite Spring Enchantment from April 1 to May 12, where visitors can wander through themed gardens alive with more than 50,000 tulips and daffodils. The peak bloom of tulips varies yearly, so stay in touch with our social media feeds for peak viewing times. Throughout Spring Enchantment, put on your scavenger hunt glasses and search for dozens of creature homes and fairy doors scattered throughout the nether reaches of the Gardens. It's fun for all ages!
Dog lovers, Rovers at Reiman returns each Tuesday evening in April, allowing you to walk your dog along the beautiful walking paths and fresh blooms at Reiman Gardens.
New in 2025, Reiman Gardens will allow guests to enjoy the Gardens later in the evenings as we extend our hours until 8 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday from April 1 to September 30.
Our inaugural Spring Enchantment Festival takes place on Saturday, April 19, and features upcoming local artists who will share their nature-inspired goods and creations for sale to the public.
May features our 11th annual Plant Sale on Saturday, May 10 (9 a.m. - 6 p.m.) and Sunday, May 11 (10 a.m. - 3 p.m.).
The Garden Art Fair
Summer (June, July, August)
There's no place like Reiman Gardens in the summer! The Gardens hit full bloom, and the events are bountiful.
Summer 2025 debuts our themed exhibit, "Picture Perfect: Celebrating 30 Years of Beauty at Reiman Gardens," featuring enchanting Instagrammable scenes and backdrops that highlight our past, showcase our present, and inspire our future. The dates of this exhibit are May 31 through September 30. Watch our website this spring for more details!
New in 2025 is an outdoor concert series! The Iowa Songwriters Showcase will feature six outdoor concerts (June 3, June 17, July 1, July 15, July 29, and August 12).
Two popular floral shows return in June: The Rose Show on June 14 and the Lily Show on June 28.
June also welcomes Pollinator Fest on June 21, a family-friendly event focusing on the importance of pollinators, complete with hands-on activities and educational exhibits.
The Garden Art Fair (July 13) is always a crowd favorite with its lively marketplace featuring talented local artists and garden-inspired crafts.
Elwood, "The World's Largest Concrete Gnome," celebrates his 15th birthday in September!
Fall (September, October)
In September, Rovers at Reiman returns for the month and invites dog lovers to bring their furry friends to enjoy the cooler temperatures and changing leaves each Tuesday evening.
Our 30th-anniversary celebration hits its crescendo with a trio of events in September:
- Farm to Table event (September 11)
- Reiman Gardens' official 30th-anniversary event (September 13)
- Elwood's Very Merry Unbirthday (September 15)
As autumn sets in, the Gardens transform for Spirits in the Gardens in October, featuring a magical, illuminated stroll through the land of 1,000 carved pumpkins. It's a must-see attraction every year in Central Iowa!
Winter (November, December)
Our yearlong celebration concludes with our second annual Holiday Shop, a Bonsai Show, The RG Express, and Winter Wonderscape. Dates are still being determined, so stay tuned to our Events page and Reiman Gardens Facebook and Instagram pages!
